St. John Ambulance - CPR C Re-Certification for Targeted Responders
An advanced course designed for targeted responders who have taken the course at least two times previously and hold a current CPR-C certificate. CPR-C for targeted responders is suited for professional rescuers and CPR or ICP Instructor candidates e.g. firefighters, nurses, lifeguards, EMAs, OFA attendants, ski patrollers, Brigade members. Candidates must be physically able to perform the required skills.
Lesson topics are presented through DVDs, review, and skills practice sessions.
Course content:
- Emergency Scene Management
- Artificial Respirations
- Choking
- Cardiovascular Emergencies
- One Rescuer Adult CPR
- Child Resuscitation
- Infant Resuscitation
- Two Rescuer CPR
A CPR-C certificate will be awarded to students who successfully complete the course requirements. Students who do not meet the criteria for certification may be awarded a CPR-E certificate of attendance
