St. John Ambulance - Basic Cardiac Life Support / CPR LEVEL C

An advanced course designed for professional rescuers, nurses, lifeguards, EMAs, OFA attendants, ski patrollers, Brigade members. Candidates must be physically able to perform the required skills. Lesson topics are presented through a variety of instructor-led activities, DVDs, review, and skills practice sessions.

Course content:

Emergency Scene Management
Shock, Unconsciousness & Fainting
Artificial Respirations
Choking
Cardiovascular Emergencies
One Rescuer Adult CPR
Child Resuscitation
Infant Resuscitation
Two Rescuer CPR

Certification: valid for 3 years upon successful completion of course. The Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation recommends yearly re-certification.
Prerequisites: None
Course Materials: St John Ambulance Heart Start manual
Time: 6 hours - One day course (9:00am - 3:30pm) / Evening courses over two (2) nights (6:00pm - 9:30pm)
Price: $75.00 (price includes textbooks and is subject to change)
Classes are limited to 12 students.
